Wife and I stopped at Union Passenger Terminal here in New Orleans. They had a couple tables set up with some local clubs/groups, Operation Life Saver, Rails on Trails, some stuff for the kids (we got a few things for my daughter) and some model train stuff.

On display was Amtrak 184 in the Retro Phase IV scheme, the Sunset Limited train (2 coaches, lounge, diner, 2 sleepers I think), and two cars from the 20th Century Limited.

Was nice they had the whole Sunset Limited out in between its’ run back to L.A. Gave me a chance to show the wife the train and the rooms in case we ever get the chance do a ride on the California Zephyr across country.

Was only there for about an hour but we had a nice time. Probably beat the crowds as it was picking up when we got back inside from the trains.
