    I have a 12′x14′ N-scale railroad in my basement started using a modified version of this plan. It is going to be the Indiana Railroad from Palestine to Oblong, IL.

    Hey JT, Very cool. Any pictures or a track plan?

    I’ll have to shrink it down to 11′x11′ for my available space, but I think it can work.

    @Shaun
    I have a XtrkCad diagram; however, what is the best way to get it to you?

    It is incomplete as I do not have the yard on it yet or my refinery tracks. I am building a 2′x16′ staging yard with some number of tracks that will be in the room next to the layout room. I have 35×60 full basement; however, this is a trial layout that may grow to fill a 16×35 room if I want to expand and can afford it.

    I always keep coming back to this plan in the 102 Trackplan book, it’s a pretty simple design with operating potential. So what will become of the other layout?

    It’ll be dismantled. The woodtie track and turnouts will be removed and reused. The benchwork will be reused where it can as well. Rest hits the curb.

  1. No trackbacks yet.
