Yes and no. I made some sketches, but, as I've laid roadbed and some track (I started on the town side), I've made several adjustments.
But, basically, I straightened out the backdrop, which allows me to make a "main street" on the town side. Instead of industries, I have a three-ladder-track and two-stub-end-track yard. I also made the intermodel yard two tracks (instead of four), but lengthened that yard. The mountain side is single tracked.
I moved the location (mountain side) to the Tehachapi Mountains and (town side) to Mojave, CA. Pelle Soeborg has also been a large inspiration.
I look forward to reading your future posts. Good luck!

Hey Ritchie,

Thanks for the compliments. You have a track plan or anything for your layout?

I have never used the PECO track so I can't compare them to ME, but I'm probably a ME user for life now, heh. I really like how ME track looks, operates, and holds its' shape.

Been watching your progress with great interest. I'm also building a version of this layout (although a bit more modified from the original than yours). Keeping an eye on what you've accomplished has proven to be an inspiration to me. Keep it up! I really appreciate it--thank you!

I noticed you are using ME concrete-tie flextrack. Have you used Peco's concrete-tie flextrack? If so, have you noticed any advantages/disadvantages? I'm trying to decide which to buy.
