Not much progress has been made on the blast furnace since the last update. My office/layout room has slowly turned into a junk pile, so I’ve been working on cleaning up, reorganizing things, shuffling furniture around, etc…

I’ll probably start up on the modeling in about a week or so once I get this clean-up project done.

Just a quick idea I had for the mill complex.

Today I completed the house for the furnace unit.

I spray painted the cement pillars Testor’s Dark Aircraft Gray, the steel beams (and the blast furnace) are Rust-Oleum’s Rusty Metal brown, and the upper portion of the building is Testor’s Model Master Stainless Steel.

Here’s a shot of the furnace with the handrail attached, painted Floquil Reefer Yellow.
